Bushings Install:
.) Slide the bushing brackets back into place and finger tight all the bolts into place. Torque down the 4 14mm bolts circled in red in a crisscross pattern first. After those are done torque down the remaining 2 14mm bolts circled in yellow. All 6 bolts have to be torqued to 44.3 ft-lb (or 60N-m).
.) Now tighten the steering shaft coupling bolt, torque the bolt to 17.7 ft-lb (or 24 N-m).
.) Replace the cross member support brace and finger tighten all 8 14mm bolts circled in red and 2 14mm bolts and nuts circled in yellow. Torque the 8 14mm bolts circled in red to 44.3 ft-lb (or 60 N-m). Torque the 2 14mm nuts and bolts circled in yellow to 18.4 ft-lb (or 25 N-m).
.) Replace the under tray and you are done. Now take your car on a shake down run to see how the car feels now. You should definitely feel a increase in steering input response. There shouldn’t be any lag or slop in the steering wheel at all. This is definitely a must have modification if you enjoy spirited driving in your WRX or STi.
